PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide service release system, communication repeater and service release device, which are capable of simplifying set-up work for service release. SOLUTION: A proxy server 4 communicates with a client PC 5 by employing a predetermined IP address and port number when utilizing a service from outside while it communicates with a service release gateway 2 by employing a tunnel identified by a tunnel ID associated with the IP address and port number. A DNS server 6 receives information for service release including various information concerning service release from the proxy server 4 and stores it. Further, when the DNS 6 has received a service search request in which a service in a home local area network 10 and a domain name are specified, from the client PC 5, the DNS server 6 transmits information corresponding to the service and the domain name to the client PC 5.
