PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of an optical fiber separated for an optical monitor. SOLUTION: In this light source device 1, a part of light output from a light source device body 3 through this bundle optical fiber 2 is returned to a luminous energy sensor unit 50 through an optical fiber bundle 72 for a monitor separated from an optical fiber bundle 70 of the bundle optical fiber 2, and the luminous energy of the light source device body 3 is controlled based on a detection value of the luminous energy sensor unit 50. The light source device is structured such that an incident attachment means 60 of the bundle optical fiber 2 is integrally provided with a fiber housing box 62 for a monitor having the luminous energy sensor unit 50 in the vicinity of a tip part located on the incident attachment means 60 side; and the optical fiber bundle 72 for a monitor separated from the optical fiber bundle 70 of the bundle optical fiber 2 is separated from the optical fiber bundle 70 on the front end side in the fiber housing box 62 for a monitor, turns around on the rear end side of the fiber housing box 62 for a monitor, and connected to the luminous energy sensor unit 50.
