<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the number of protrusive bars in knurling as low as possible without impairing the intrinsic function in knurling of preventing cracks at bottom and scars from contact, while maintaining the stability of a bottle surmounted, and to make the projected form of the protrusive bars as gentle as possible while making the knurling as unnoticeable as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The problem is solved by forming the glass bottle in such a manner that: the period (P) of the protrusive bar at the circumferential cross section that passes the lowest point of the protrusive bar is made 3.0 to 13.0 mm; the height (H) of the protrusive bar becomes 0.05 to 0.5 mm; the central part of a recessed part of the circumferential cross section that passes the lowest point of the protrusive bar is of a horizontally straight line state while both the end parts of the central part are made into recessed curved surfaces or the central part of the recessed part is made into a recessed curved surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
