<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphite sheet more suitably usable in application of, e.g., heat diffusion from a heat generator, and a production method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: In the graphite sheet, the peak strength ratio (P100/002) of (100) diffraction peak to (002) diffraction peak and the peat strength ratio (P110/002) of (110) diffraction peak to (002) diffraction peak, both by X-ray diffraction method, are set at 10 or higher. The production method of the graphite sheet comprises a process of preparing a polymer liquid which contains a polymer having carbon atoms in molecular chains and expresses optical anisotropy, a process of unidirectionally orienting the molecular chains of the polymer, a process of obtaining a molded item from the polymer liquid in a state of maintaining the orientation of the molecular chains of the polymer, and a process of carbonizing and then graphitizing the molded item. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
