PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device and its paper feeding method performing a printing operation, in which a request for a medium is canceled, in an easy method to the request for a medium from the printing device, when the printing device does not have a printing medium. SOLUTION: The printing device includes a medium size comparing part 125 which compares the size of a printing medium to be replenished with the size of a replenished printing medium, when a selected medium storage part 141 has no printing medium, and a forced printing designated part 126 that instructs whether a forced printing which prints, regardless of the medium size is to be performed. A printing control part 120 controls a printing instruction to a printing part 160, based on a forced printing instruction of the forced printing designated part 126, when the size of the printing medium to be replenished does match the size of the replenished printing medium.
