The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy. A method for heat treatment of cast iron forming rolls comprises the heating of roll layer to temperature which exceed the temperature of point Aon 120-130 °С with the rate V=12(7-5D) degree/h, non-expendable intermediate compelled cooling on air to temperature below the temperature of point Aand heating of working layer to temperature above the point AhClby amount N=5 (D+0,1) times, soaking on air is carried out during time of τ=4(21D+1) minutes, were D – diameter of roll, m, after that the final cooling is carried out in the furnace with the rate of V=20-30 degree/h. The invention allows to increase physical and mechanical properties of deep layers of working layer of forming roll in process of its operation. |
