PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating for a fluorescent lamp excelling in preservation stability, improving binding force of a fluorescent material to a glass tube, and providing a coating film excelling in impact resistance, to provide a coating film using the same, and to provide a method of manufacturing a coating film, and a fluorescent lamp. SOLUTION: The coating for the fluorescent lamp contains a binding material for binding fluorescent materials to each other and binding a fluorescent material to a translucent sealing tube, and a solvent, and is characterized in that the binding material comprises aluminum oxide and silicon dioxide.
