<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can reduce time required for correcting image forming conditions and the quantity of developer. <P>SOLUTION: Patches Pt in respective colors are formed by corresponding processing sections of respective colors by using a development bias Vs set for each of the respective colors. Thereafter, density Ds of each patch Pt in the respective colors is detected. On the basis of the deviationΔD between each density Ds and the target density Dt predetermined for each color, the development bias Vs for each color is corrected to a new development bias Vb. When a re-correction color in which the deviationΔD is greater than a predetermined threshold Dth is present, the processing section of the re-correction color forms a patch Pt again using the corrected development bias Vs. Then, on the basis of the deviationΔD between the patch Pt in re-corrected color and the target density Dt, the development bias Vb for the re-correction color is corrected again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
