<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyless entry unit which enables efficient communication between a portable machine side and a vehicle side by minimizing the effect of capacitance generated between an electrode on the vehicle side and the vehicle body via a human body. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle has a door handle provided with a grip-like handle section 31 on a door handle 1a. The handle section 31 of the door handle is provided with the vehicle-side electrode 12 detecting an electric field induced to the human body by a portable machine electrode. The vehicle-side electrode 12 has at least two faces of a first face 40 facing a body face of the vehicle, a second face 41 facing the body face of the vehicle and arranged farther from the vehicle body than the first face 40, an upper face 42 and a lower face 43 perpendicular to the first face 40 and the second face 41 and parallel to each other.
