PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio terminal which can continue a communication in a state that a counterpart is specified when a cellular communication is switched to an ad hoc communication, and can prevent a reduction in communication performance due to a useless connection with the other terminals. SOLUTION: A cellular communication part 11 sends a BSSID generated at a BSSID generating part 13 at start of communication to the other radio terminals via a base station of an infra-network, and an ad hoc communication part 12 receives a probe request during communication execution by the infra-network. When a control part 23 determines that the identical BSSID to the BSSID stored in an ad hoc information storing part 14 is included in the probe request concerned, the ad hoc communication part 12 is ad-hoc-connected to the radio terminal of a source of the probe request concerned, and the control part 23 switches a communication path from the cellular communication part 11 to the ad hoc communication part 12.
