PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for suppressing wrong determination of off-track with respect to a track error signal in an on-track state. SOLUTION: The optical disk device with a recording medium of track structure as a reproduction target is provided with a tracking error signal detecting means for detecting a track error signal indicating a distance between an optical beam and a track, a measuring means for measuring a time interval during which the polarity of the track error signal is reversed, and a first identification means for identifying whether a track slip or being on-track based on a size of a difference in value between adjacent time-series streams of the time interval obtained by the measuring means.
