PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headphone (50) which obtains a comfortable putting-on feeling and manages power supply by detecting putting-on/non-putting-on to a head by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The headphone is provided with a housing (1H), a loudspeaker unit (5L) fixed to the housing (1H), a microphone (6) arranged at a position capable of recording a sound of the side sound-released by the speaker unit (5L) in the housing (1H), a storage portion (14) to store a threshold value (S) set in advance, and a signal processing circuit which compares a power spectrum of a sound signal (SG1L) supplied to the loudspeaker unit (5L) with a power spectrum of a sound signal (SG4) of the sound recorded by the microphone (6) and outputs a signal (SJ) corresponding to a compared result acquired by further comparing the compared result of the spectra with the threshold value (S) stored in the storage portion (14).
