PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an acoustic echo canceler capable of effectively canceling echo and noise that can not be canceled effectively only by an echo canceler employing an adaptive filter. SOLUTION: An adaptive filter 20 generates a pseudo echo sound signal FE't on the basis of a discharge sound signal FEt. An adder 60 generates a first corrected sound signal NE't by subtracting the pseudo echo sound signal FE't from a collection sound signal NEt. An echo spectrum estimation section 301 estimates and calculates a frequency spectrum FE"n of echo that can not be canceled completely by the pseudo echo sound signal FE't, on the basis of the pseudo echo sound signals FE'n of this time and last time. A noise spectrum estimation section 302 estimates and calculates a frequency spectrum of normal noise NE"n on the basis of the first corrected sound signal NE'n of this time and last time. An adder 70 subtracts the frequency spectrum FE"n of the echo and the frequency spectrum of the normal noise NE"n from the frequency spectrum of the first corrected sound signal NE'n.
