PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of extra-pure oxygen capable of effectively using cold by a safer method without disposing liquid oxygen containing high boiling point components separated at the bottom of a fractionation column. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of extra-pure oxygen, raw material liquid oxygen is introduced into a first fractionation column, a component with a boiling point higher than that of oxygen is accumulated as is in a liquid state along with a portion of the raw material liquid oxygen in the first fractionation column, a component with a boiling point lower than that of oxygen is evaporated and taken out along with the remainder of the raw material liquid oxygen, mixed gas of the taken out low boiling point component and oxygen gas is liquefied or maintained as gas, and the low boiling point component is separated from the mixed gas or the liquefied mixed gas and is highly purified. The required amount of liquid oxygen for cooling an air separating device that applies low temperature liquefaction separation to the raw material air in an air separating fractionation column by using a difference in boiling points of each of the components is introduced into the first fractionation column along with the raw material liquid oxygen, and the high boiling point component containing liquid oxygen 3a accumulated in the first fractionation column 1 is supplied as a cold source to the air separating device.
