PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece conveyance device having excellent maintenance property capable of reducing its size and initial equipment cost by applying a simple structure. SOLUTION: The workpiece conveyance device 1 for conveying a workpiece between adjoining processes has a holding means 6 capable of moving along a guide rail 51 while holding the workpiece and an extension part extended along the guide rail 5. The extension part is provided with a cable-like body 7 fixed with a holding means 6, a plurality of pulleys including drive pulleys 8, 9 around which the cable-like body 7 is wound, air cylinders 11, 12 for moving the drive pulleys 8, 9 respectively. At a side of the extension part, an end part 71 of the cable-like body 7 is fixed and the drive pulleys 8, 9 are wound around by a part of the cable-like body 7 from the end part 71 to an extension part. By moving the drive pulleys 8, 9 in a direction to which the part of the cable-like body 7 from the end part 71 to an extension part is stretched, the holding means 6 fixed with the extension part is moved to the side of the extension part.
