PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaning apparatus of a local space, which can arbitrarily set a blowing position and direction and has an excellent diffusion property. SOLUTION: A fixed base 10 is provided on the existing ceiling or a frame-type support material. The fan filter unit 2 is supported by a multijoint support arm 8 comprising a first arm 8A having one end pivoted on the fixed base 10 in the state of being turnable for adjustment in one direction, a second arm 8B pivoted on the other end of the first arm 8A in the state of being turnable for adjustment in one direction, and a third arm 8C pivoted on the other end of the second arm 8B in the state of being turnable for adjustment in two directions, at the same time, a wire winching type balancer 13 is arranged on the fixed base 10, and the tip of a wire 14 unreeled from the wire winching type balancer 13 is coupled on a joint of the second arm 8B with the third arm 8C. A blowout plate 6 having a substantially wagon-head shape, and at the same time, with many openings 7, 7, ... formed is attached to a supply opening of the fan filter unit 2.
