A channel plate (4) is provided opposite to the bearing surface with channels (10) separated from each other for receiving electrolyte. The channels are connected in the channel plate with an isolating diaphragm (2). A porous diaphragm (1) is provided, which has pores with a layer made of polymer, particularly polyethylene terephthalate or polyimide. The pores are produced by anodic oxidation of the diaphragm made of glass or ceramic.
