PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device which is strong for vibration and which can perform stable recording and reproducing operation. SOLUTION: The optical disk device has an optical pickup provided with a light source, an objective lens, and an actuator driving the objective lens, and also has a tracking error signal-detecting means, a means for detecting deviation quantity of a center position of the objective lens for a reference position of the optical pickup, and a disturbance observer detecting disturbance applied to the actuator. When the center position of the objective lens is positioned within the prescribed range from the reference position of the optical pickup during tracking control, tracking control is performed based on an output of the disturbance observer.
