A billet cutting apparatus is provided to cut a billet after forming a recess around the billet, thereby minimizing indent on the interface of the cut billet. A billet cutting apparatus comprises a heating furnace(100), a cutter(200), and a support frame(300). The heating furnace is installed in the horizontal direction to the ground surface and heats a billet. The cutter is installed on one side to the heating furnace and cuts the billet into certain length. The support frame is positioned beneath the heating furnace and the cutter to support them. The heating furnace is equipped with a burner(110) heating the billet in the heating furnace, and a heat exchanger(120) on one side of the burner to circulate the heat of exhaust gas to the burner.
