A liquid crystal display using an optical member changing spectral distribution and a color coordinate is provided to reduce manufacturing cost of the liquid crystal display by reduction of LED(Light Emitting Diode) supply cost. An image is implemented on an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(150). A backlight device is installed at the rear side of the liquid crystal panel. The backlighting arrangement provides the light. An optical member(130) is installed between the liquid crystal panel and backlighting arrangement. The optical member comprises an optical characteristic changing layer. The light character change layer changes the spectral distribution and color coordinate of the backlighting arrangement.
