<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine translation device capable of detecting whether a translation result reflects the intention of an original text or not. <P>SOLUTION: The machine translation device is provided with: an example storage section 120 for storing examples in a target language associated with examples in an original language; an input reception section 101 for receiving an input sentence in the original language; a retrieval section 111 for retrieving examples in the target language corresponding to examples in the original language matching or similar to the input sentence in the example storage section 120; a translation section 112 for generating a retranslated sentence obtained by translating the retrieved examples in the target language into the original language; a detection section 113 for detecting different portions of the retranslated sentence from the input sentence; and an output section 103 for outputting the different portions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
