PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection chip capable of accurately performing base line difference processing and detecting a substance to be detected in a liquid sample with high precision. SOLUTION: The inspection chip has a prism, the metal film formed on one surface of the prism and having the first specific bonding substance specifically bonded to the substance to be detected arranged on its surface and the flow channel substrate arranged on one surface of the prism and having a flow channel which supplies the liquid sample to the metal film by propagating the liquid sample from a start end to a terminal formed thereto. The flow channel is branched into a first branched flow channel and a second branched flow channel having a region which is labeled with a fluorescent substance and on which the second specific bonding substance specifically bonded to the substance to be detected is placed over a section from one point between the start end and the metal film to a contact position with the metal film and allows the liquid sample propagated through the first branched flow channel to arrive at the metal film before the arrival of the liquid sample propagated through the second branched flow channel at the metal film.
