PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit a cam surface which requires accurate processing to only one side by bringing a cam follower into slide contact with only one cam surface of a rotary cam groove with a stable pressure. SOLUTION: The zoom lens device 12 includes four lens moving frames supporting a plurality of lenses; a fixed barrel 20 having a translation cam groove 20b supporting the lens moving frames to be movable in an optical axial direction; a cam barrel 50 having cam surfaces 52a to 55a with which cam followers 42 to 45 are engaged; and springs 61 and 62 both ends of which are engagingly locked by the different cam followers, respectively. The cam follower 42 is provided on the outer circumference of the lens moving frame 32, and the cam followers 43 to 45 are provided similarly on the other lens moving frames. The cam followers 42 to 45 are regularly pressed onto the cam surfaces 52a to 55a by the springs 61 and 62, and move the lens moving frames, when the cam barrel 50 is rotated, by being pressed by the cam surfaces 52a to 55a or following the cam surfaces 52a to 55a.
