PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile visiting car highly accurately reading radiation image information without being affected by vibration during read. SOLUTION: The mobile visiting car 10 includes: an X-ray source 16 for outputting radiation for irradiating a radiation conversion panel P; and a reader 26 provided with a scanning unit 66 for reading the radiation image information by optically scanning the radiation conversion panel P. The vibrations of the scanning unit 66 are detected by a vibration sensor 114, and while a read operation by the scanning unit 66 is interrupted when the amplitude of the detected vibration exceeds an allowable amplitude, the read operation by the scanning unit 66 is restarted when the amplitude of the detected vibrations is within the range of the allowable amplitude.
