PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug transport agent used in a drug delivery system, enabling clarification of the action mechanism in a cell level and suitable diagnosis by efficiently introducing a gene or a pharmacological action-expressing material into an objective cell to be analyzed in biomolecule functions, specifically transporting a diagnosis agent to a specific site to be diagnosed or specifically transporting a therapeutic agent to a lesion site to be treated. SOLUTION: The drug transport agent contains a chelator compound having an N-containing heterocyclic group and a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic group with a straight or branched chain in colloidal particles, wherein the N-containing heterocyclic groups are exposed from the surfaces of the colloidal particles to thereby chelate metal ions, and histidine groups in a recognition protein, specifically bonding to specific molecules which are cell-specifically expressed on the surfaces of the cells, form chelating to the metal ions around the colloid particles.
