PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge elastic limit deformation with preventing or controlling buckling by one spring and widen an applicable specification as compared with that of a conventional one. SOLUTION: The multistage type spring 100 is pulled and compressed in the direction of Y through the input units 160, 161 and exhibits the spring performance by elongating and contracting each metal plate 110 of the spring part 102 in the direction of Y (elastic deformation). Thus, the product (EA) spring constant of Young's modulus of each metal plate 110 and a cross-section area ("plate thickness x width") is determined. Therefore, the spring constant is determined by the product (EA) of Young's modulus of each metal plate 110 which constitutes the spring part 102 and the value (EA/L) which is divided by the member length (L) of the total of each metal plate 110 and the cross section area which intersects perpendicularly with the elastic direction. Moreover, the member length (L) of the sum of each metal plate 110 determines the elastic limit deformation. Therefore, the total spring length, the spring constant and the elastic limit deformation (or allowable power) is adjusted separately and respectively.
