SLAG FOR MODIFICATION OF CAST IRON

摘要

The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to development of conditioning agent composition for obtaining of cast irons with fine-dispersed graphite by means of special slags. A slag for modification of cast iron contains, w/w: silicon dioxide – 3-9, calcium oxide – 40-45, aluminium oxide – 40-45 and rare-earth oxides – 5-7. The invention provides the increasing of physical and mechanical properties of cast iron, namely the plasticity of cast iron increases in 2 times as compared to the plasticity of cast iron known from the art.
