<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector, improved in color reproducibility by decreasing light emission characteristic according to material enclosed in a light emitting part of a discharge type arc tube. <P>SOLUTION: This projector includes a light source device 2, a light beam emitted from the light source device 2, a light modulating device 6 for modulating the light beam according to input image information to form an optical image, and a projecting optical device 8 for projecting the optical image formed by the light modulating device 6, wherein the light source device 2 includes two or more kinds of discharge type arc tubes 211, 221 different in light emission characteristic. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
