PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device which can be made compact, can prevent damage of a recording medium, and enables transportation of a disk without displacement. SOLUTION: The disk device 100 is provided with a disk tray 50 having a small diameter placing plane 51B2, a pedestal part turning a small diameter disk 200, a turntable 24, and a recording and reproducing means. Also, the small diameter placing plane 51B2 is provided with a small diameter supporting part 52 projected to the upper part and supporting the position of an end face part side rather than the turning tip of a small diameter disk 200 when the small diameter disk 200 is turned, and a small diameter positioning part 53 in contact with the outer edge of the small diameter disk 200.
