PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift device for a vehicle transmission, smoothly connecting/disconnecting a change lever to/from the transmission by connecting/disconnecting a connecting member to/from an interlocking shaft without separating them from each other. SOLUTION: The shift device for the vehicle transmission includes the change lever 1, a retaining section 4, the interlocking shaft 3, and the connecting member 5 having a shaft fitting hole 51a. When the interlocking shaft 3 is movably fitted into the shaft fitting hole 51a in the longitudinal direction thereof and the change lever 1 is rotated around the second rotating shaft O2, the interlocking shaft is moved along the longitudinal direction in the shaft fitting hole 51a within a range from an inclined position where the axial center O3 of the interlocking shaft forms an angle with the first rotating shaft O1 to a matched position where the axial center thereof matches with the first rotating shaft. When the change lever 1 is rotated around the first rotating shaft O1, the interlocking shaft 3 is rotated around the first rotating shaft O1 at the inclined position or the matched position within the shaft fitting hole 51a.
