PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chopper capable of surely chopping a resin-made band for packing into an intended length. SOLUTION: A plurality of gears 16 are provided at an interval of an intended chopping length L of a band on each of a pair of rotary shafts 14 and 15 provided in parallel and reversely rotating. The chopper is structured such that a side face of the gear 16 provided on one of the rotary shafts 14 is brought into contact with a surface of the gear 16 provided on the other rotary shaft 15 to cause the resin-made band to be wound from a rolling part M and discharged to a discharging part H by reverse rotation of the pair of gears. The resin-made band B is chopped by shear force of edges 16a formed on side faces of both gears 16 during a process since it is wound until discharged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
