A can sorting device and a can sorting method using the same are provided to discharge and select a can in real time by selecting the can based on image data which is gained by photographing images of the can. A can sorting device includes a mounting unit(100), a conveying unit(200), a light unit(300), a camera unit(400), a reading unit(500), and an operating unit(600). A can(20) is settled in a settling unit. The conveying unit transfers the can to a predetermined location of the settling unit, and transfers the selected can. The light unit supplies a light source to the settled can. The camera unit stores images of the settled can to image data. The reading unit receives the image data. The operating unit operates the setting unit to a discharge direction based on results. |
