<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component with a reliable electrostatic protection function. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic component includes a first electrode and a second electrode formed on the same plane and a resin material 2 including uniformly dispersed metallic particulates with a diameter of 1-500 nm filled between the electrodes, and has an electrostatic protection function of starting discharge with 2,000 V or less when contact discharge conforming to the IEC 61000-4-2 test specification is applied between the first and second electrodes. Preferably, the diameter of the metallic particulate is 1-100 nm, a distance between the first and second electrodes is 10-50 μm, and the ratio of the particulates to the resin material is 1-10 wt.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
