<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration device for obtaining a camera parameter with high reliability by suppressing corresponding relation between an arbitrary image and a model image picked up by a camera from being erroneously detected. <P>SOLUTION: A calibration device is provided with a selection means for selecting the corresponding relation of corresponding data to be output by a corresponding characteristic point detection means, and for outputting the selected corresponding relation as processed corresponding data; and a camera parameter detection means for obtaining a camera parameter based on the processed corresponding data. As one embodiment, the selection means creates a plurality of projection matrixes for converting image pickup coordinates and model coordinates based on the plurality of corresponding relations of the corresponding data, and obtaining reliability showing the accuracy of the coordinate conversion of each projection matrix by operating the coordinate conversion of each corresponding relation by the projection matrix, and for deciding the degree of the reliability of each projection matrix based on a threshold, and for including the corresponding relation as the origin of the projection matrix whose reliability is decided to be high in the processed corresponding data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
