<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical apparatus which can perform tracking and focusing with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: This optical apparatus (optical pickup 12) has a semiconductor laser chip 124, an optical waveguide 122 through which light from the semiconductor laser chip 124 is guided, a grating element 123 which is formed on a surface of the optical waveguide 122, and a light receiving element 125 that receives the ligh guided by the optical waveguide 122, emitted from the grating element 123 and reflected by a disk 11, and the light receiving element 125 is configured with a plurality of light-receiving element portions 125a arranged in a matrix. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
