<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a flexible board of a ZIF type aiming at thinning the connector by lowering a height of a connector housing. <P>SOLUTION: The connector 1 for an FPC is provided with two kinds of first and second contact terminals 2, 3, a connector housing 4 having a housing chamber 5 with an FPC stored, and a cover member 11 pivotally supported at a rotation axis part 14 fitted at an end of the connector housing and covering an opening of the housing chamber 5 in free opening and closing. The cover member 11 is provided with a through-hole 15 formed to be penetrated with an end part of the FPC at the rotation axis part 14 which is in the housing chamber 5 and pivotally supported between contact parts of the first and the second contact terminals 2, 3. Since the FPC is housed in the housing chamber 5 and FPC conductors exposed at an FPC end part are made to be in contact with the first and the second contact terminals 2, 3 to cover an opening of the housing chamber 5 by the cover member 11, each FPC conductor is pressed and electrically connected to the first and the second contact terminals 2, 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
