<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driving apparatus that reduces a current supplied from a power source. <P>SOLUTION: A converter 2 converts a supplied AC voltage into a DC voltage. An inverter 3 converts the DC voltage into AC electric power of variable voltage and variable frequency and supplies the power to a motor 4. The converter 2 is configured with a bridge circuit composed of power elements and diodes connected inversely parallel. The converter 2 returns regenerative electric power to the power source side at power regeneration, while converting three-phase AC power supply into a DC voltage at powering. The inverter 3 is configured with a bridge circuit composed of power elements and diodes connected inversely parallel. By controlling the ON/OFF of the power elements from an inverter control circuit 5, an AC voltage having a desired voltage and frequency is supplied to the motor 4. A capacitor 7 is connected via a charge/discharge control circuit 8 to supply electric energy and to charge regenerative energy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
