<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of being unable to perform operation by stable premixed compression ignition, since an internal EGR gas quantity changes, when operating a turbocharger similarly to steady operation in transitional operation, in a gasoline engine having the turbocharger and performing the premixed compression ignition and spark ignition in a switching system according to an operation area. <P>SOLUTION: This gasoline engine includes the turbocharger having a turbine driven by exhaust gas and a compressor for compressing suction air by being driven by the turbine, and a variable valve gear for continuously changing the valve closing timing of at least an exhaust valve. This operation control method of the gasoline engine is provided for performing the premixed compression ignition and the spark ignition in a switching system according to the operation area, and calculates a request internal EGR gas quantity according to the operation state of the gasoline engine, and determines the valve closing timing of the exhaust valve from exhaust pressure and the request internal EGR gas quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
