<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create an image of higher precision and higher resolution of a subject of interest. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a subject detection part 11 for recognizing a subject of interest in a plurality of images; a background evaluation part 12 for evaluating the image about a different image area from the image area of the subject of interest recognized by the subject detection part 11; an image selection part 13 for selecting some images from the plurality of images; and an image configuration part 14 for composing a new image of higher resolution from the plurality of images based on the subject of interest recognized by the subject detection part 11, the result of evaluation by the background evaluation part 12, and the some images selected by the image selection part 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
