PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of enhancing the convenience by attaching/detaching a part having a microcomputer demonstrating the navigation function from a base unit as a body, and increasing the size of a display. SOLUTION: The navigation device has a base unit 10 fixable to a dashboard D of a driver seat of a vehicle, and a front panel unit 14 attachable/detachable to/from the base unit and having a display for displaying the map data. A front side of the front panel unit is constituted to the same size as that of an attaching/detaching surface of the base unit, and an upper cover 42 is provided on an upper part of a storage part 38 formed on the dashboard D. The front panel unit is kicked out from the base unit and detached at the position between a base end 42d at the frontmost end of the upper cover and an inflexion point at which the lower inclination of the dashboard D is started.
