PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper alloy having both of higher strength and higher electroconductivity than a conventional material. SOLUTION: The copper alloy has a chemical composition comprising, by mass%, 0.010 to 3.0% Ni, 0.010 to 0.3% P, 0.010 to 3.0% Sn, 0.010 to 1.5% in total of one or more elements of Co, Cr, Ti, Mn, Zr, Fe and Mg, respectively, and the balance Cu with unavoidable impurities; and has a structure in which precipitates formed of a phosphorous compound are finely dispersed in a matrix. A ratio N(M)/N(Ni) of a total atomic weight N(M) of each element of Co, Cr, Ti, Mn, Zr, Fe and Mg to the atomic weight N(Ni) of Ni contained in the phosphorous compound forming the precipitate is controlled to 0.05 to 30.
