PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic endoscope easy to allow the non-contact type element of the ultrasonic endoscope to approach the predetermined position of an endoscope washing and disinfecting device with no load applied on a user. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic endoscope 1 is constituted so that a leading end drive unit 30 is built in the leading end part of the insertion part 2 extended from an operation part 3 and a scope connector 5 is provided to the base end part of the universal cord 4 extended from the operation part 3. An amplifying substrate 52 for a vibrator signal for amplifying the vibrator signal outputted from an ultrasonic vibrator 31, a rotation detecting substrate 53 for detecting the quantity of rotation on the basis of the detection signal outputted from an encoder 34, a rotary drive part control substrate 54 for controlling the driving of a drive motor 35, and an RF-ID 55 for storing scope data are arranged in the internal space of the scope connector 5.
