PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punching device capable of preventing the generation of damage and improper shape of a workpiece when punching it. SOLUTION: This punching device includes a punch 1 and a die 2 having a punching hole 2a fitting in the punch 1 to punch the plate-like workpiece W loaded on the die 2 by the punch 1. A porous element 4 as a workpiece fixing means for sucking the workpiece W in vacuum and fixing it detachably is mounted on a workpiece loading face around the punching hole 2a in the die 2 to punch the workpiece W without using a stripper for pressing the workpiece against the die and fixing it.
