PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying device of a printing body, more efficiently circulating and utilizing drying gas while stabilizing the concentration of specific gas contained, and easily setting favorable conditions to spray drying gas, thereby drying the printing body. SOLUTION: This drying device 1 includes: a drying chamber 2; a supply duct 3 for guiding drying gas from a gas supply part to the drying chamber 2; an exhaust duct 5 for guiding drying gas from the drying chamber 2 to a gas exhaust part 101; a bypass duct 7 communicating the supply duct 3 to the exhaust duct 5; at least one air supply fan 4, which sucks drying gas and force-feeds the same to the drying chamber 2; a supply damper 10 capable of freely changing an opening in the supply duct 3; an exhaust damper 11 capable of freely changing an opening in the exhaust duct 5; a first detection means 15 for detecting the concentration of specific gas in the exhaust duct 5; and a control part 20 for controlling the respective openings of the supply damper 10 and the discharge damper 11 according to the concentration of gas detected by the first detection means 15.
