PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit and method for signal voltage transmission within a driver circuit of a power semiconductor switch. SOLUTION: The circuit for signal voltage transmission within the driver circuit 6 contains, on its primary side 8a, a signal input 14a for a first signal voltage U<SB>S1</SB>, a current source 16, 16' for a current I, I' correlated with the first signal voltage U<SB>S1</SB>, a connecting line 20, 20' for the current I, I', the connecting line leading from the current source 16, 16' to the secondary side 8b of the driver circuit 6 and, on the secondary side 8b, a current-voltage converter 24, 24' for converting the current I, I' into a second signal voltage U<SB>S2</SB>correlated with the current, and a signal output 14b for the second signal voltage U<SB>S2</SB>.
