PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an underwear type absorbent article in which the underwear type absorbent article having satisfactory flexibility in a width direction and whose finishing precision is high is produced stably and continuously using a flexible belt-like sheet. SOLUTION: The production method of an underwear type absorbent article 1 composed of an absorbent body 10 including absorbent core and a wrapping member includes: a process of longitudinally stretching a first belt-like sheet 120 flexible in a longitudinal direction; a process for partially connecting the stretched first belt-like sheet 120 with a second belt-like sheet 130 which is not stretched substantially in the longitudinal direction to obtain a wrapping member continuous body 110; a process of fixing the absorbent body 10 intermittently to the wrapping member continuous body 110 to obtain an absorbent article continuous body 100; and a process of two-folding the wrapping member continuous body 110, thereafter forming side seal parts S, S and cutting them off to separate into individual absorbent articles 1 and 1.
