PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to apply coating while repairing a defective spot without interrupting a coating step even when a nozzle is clogged and the supply of the coating material is stopped during ink-jet coating in an industrial coating apparatus. SOLUTION: The ink-jet coating method comprises the steps of: coating matter 20 to be coated by simultaneously actuating coating heads 12, 13 according to the coating data distributed beforehand to the coating heads 12, 13; successively taking a picture of a coating material-applied surface just after coated by the coating head 12 by a photographing means 14; comparing the taken picture of the coating material-applied surface with the coating data distributed beforehand to the coating head 12; creating repairing data for repairing the defective spot when there is the defective spot on the coating material-applied surface; and further actuating the coating head 13 according to the repairing data to repair the defective spot.
