PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for rationally driving a case body and simplifying the internal structure. SOLUTION: The drive unit includes: a lower case body 210; an upper case body 220; a shaft 300 for supporting the upper case body rotatably with respect to the lower case body; and a driving means 400 disposed inside the case body, for rotating the upper case body with respect to the lower case body with the shaft as a center. The lower case body is configured by assembling a first lower case body member 211 and a second lower case body member 212 in prescribed shapes, and includes a plate member 213 striding over the case body members, and the lower end part of the shaft is clamped between the first lower case body member and the second lower case body member. The first lower case body member and the second lower case body member are provided with a pair of semicylindrical parts 211a and 212a for fitting the lower end part of the shaft, respectively; and the plate member includes a hole part 213a for inserting the pair of the semicylindrical parts in the state of being put together.
