An image forming method, a color filter, and a display device forming a pixel by application of alkaline solution are provided to form the image of high quality by preventing the generation of smear. A photosensitive resin layer is formed on a substrate. The development is performed by the alkaline solution with the exposure of the photosensitive resin layer. The alkaline solution remaining in the image formation surface on the substrate is substituted for the de-ionized water. The image formation surface is washed. The image formation surface is washed by using the removal of the afterimage. |
