A modified polyaluminosiloxane, and an optical semiconductor device containing the modified polyaluminosiloxane are provided to obtain satisfactory heat resistance, transparency, adhesion and sheet formability. A modified polyaluminosiloxane is obtained by reacting a silane coupling agent represented by the formula I and polyaluminosiloxane, wherein R^1, R^2 and R^3 are independently an alkyl group or an alkoxy group; X is a methacryloxy group, a glycidoxy group, an amino group, a vinyl group or a mercapto group; and at least two of R^1, R^2 and R^3 is an alkoxy group.
